The Super Ex. basic skips the final polishing to lower cost. The higher priced one is fully polished.

My buddy with a donut shop can hook you up. He goes through a deep frying process that gives the pistons a crispy crust , then he either coats them with a low friction glaze, or a lubricatn absorbing powerder. Mmmmmmmmmmm... Pistons

werd that is some inflated prices for a header,I hope obx or ss auto copies the design and sells thems and puts them outa buiz for being greedy
I don't know if I'd go that far, but $600-$800 is absurd IMHO. I'll definately turbo my VE before I spend that kind of money on a header, or cams for that matter. I understand that people need to make money, recoup R&D costs, etc. but it won't be my money. If my car was worth $20K, yeah, that kind of money for a header might be reasonable. You can say I'm cheap Rob, but considering at the end of the day, my car is a SENTRA, and is worth maybe $2000 stock, $600-$800 for a header is ridiculous. I've put at least $6K into it in the 3 years I've owned it, so I'm not cheap, I'm just not going to pay $600-$800 for a header unless its adds what I would consider $600-$800 worth of added performance to my car. I'll bet $600-$800 that I wouldn't feel a $600-$800 difference with that header. Even from an NA standpoint, that kind of money would be better spent bumping compression up among other things. At least for my money it is.

Tool a good header is going to cost that much or more. I can understand what your saying a little. The right header will pick up horsepower all over chart and not just in one spot. Search honda-tech and see what good headers go for.
70115 Super EX. Basic Version / Primera / SR20DE / 4-2-1
US$554
I thought DE headers don't fit VE? (don't fit well is what I mean)....you want P11 Primera or U14 Bluebird SR20VE headers (I think the Fujitsubo part # is 630-13465)

What an idiotic, asshole thing to say. This is why we don't have more development for our cars. How about you go call Burns and find out how much a nice header really costs.
I talked to Mike at www.superiornissanmotorsports.com an hour ago.
They do not have any of the header in stock and won't have any until the beginning of August. The price of the website is $600 and he said the price will likely go up when they get more in stock. Mike told me he can sell me the header for $650 shipped, so the $630 shipped is no longer available.
I can see why everyone would not spend $600-800 on a header. That is a lot money. Hoepfully a 8-15 hp increase comes with spending that much.

Those numbers I posted are directly on the http://www.takakaira.com/performance/main.html page. I hope that is a typeo and its realy for a sr20ve. If you look on the website all the measurements are correct.
FYI on Superior - they've had it for $600 on their site for ever. I've never done business with them, but had waited a few months for a VE valve cover to come in stock and it never did. MPG999 had the same problem a year later.
