ok, i have my sr20ve car waiting for me a local shop, but my calum ecu wont be here tell the end of the week. How bad would it be if i hook up my ga16 ecu and drove it home, say less the 20 miles.
if it were a regular DE ecu i would say OK, just dont get on it too much. Are you sure a GA ECU will work? It may be a whole new set of sensors and input voltages. Seems like a risk considering you just dropped a couple grand on a swap. Anyone who has gone GA to SR know the details on this maybe??

i am using the ga16 ecu harness right now, so i wonder if it would even start with some of the plugs unpluged.
Well, im not gonna speculate then. i dont know anything about the GA16 harness. I figured you would need to swap the harness to an SR one. I dont know for sure... Seems like a bad idea though. Good luck.
yeah Dre told me just to use the ga16 harness, so i did, why would i debate against him. i guess i will just wait more days tell the ecu comes in the mail.
