SR16VE install

Does anyone know any places in California that can perform a clean and professional sr16ve engine swap?

....

or try Sleeper Motorsport. They will dyno tune your car after the install and set it up for max power. Only problem is u have to call ahead to make sure they have room for you.

Yeah I suggest sleepermotorsports hell even Stillen. Stay away from freaking SR20development. Unless you live closeby and can keep tabs on the progress.

I honestly recommend doing it yourself if you have the space. You will learn a buttload.

Here's some tidbits about both places:

SR20 - monkeyness galore

http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthrea...pagenu mber=2

http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthrea...threadid=13941

Sleeper - nice results, but I still sense some monkeyness

http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthrea...threadid=15347

Best of luck dude...

I'm not even goin to get into that sh*t. don't want god to come in and close this thread too. Call Sleeper and get the price, if they are close to you then u go check them out call. sh*t even if u do it yourself bring it down and slap it on the dyno and tune that thing for max power. Dynos beat the butt dyno.

No, I deleted the thread. It was nothing but a monkey dung flinging contest.

convieniently it was deleted as joker posted that he had sold the engine for very close to his asking price already despite all you haters. there is nothing wrong with sr20 development. joker needed the extra money to fund his wedding and someone was willing to pay it. sleeper has zero experience installing vvl's. sr20development has done four without any problems at all. and they were all completed within 48 hours.

48 hours is cool. Why did Ron's f*cked up DET install take 5 months? If ripping people off is normal, then I guess SR20 Development is doing fine.

To Eric96ser

Please do not delete the truth. If a man on the forum has been taken to the cleaners by a company or forum member all the Forum members on the list need to know. This type of company and people policing will keep the board honest and free from bullsh*t artists. I do not see this as a witch hunt. I feel from my own opinion, that if a person is sold a bad part or motor the person should get their money back or another part to replace their bad part. So far I have sold some inj that were leaking and a bad starter, this is the nature of used parts some times but you have heard nothing bad about me because I have replaced the bad parts sold promptly and with respect to the buyers money.

FOLLOW THESE RULES ON THE FORUM AND SEE WHAT A HAPPY LITTLE FORUM THIS WOULD BE.

If you take pride in your work and in the establishment that employs you - why hasn't a resolution come of the fiasco that haunts SR20Development?

I even talked to you personally RIGHT when the car overheated, only 90 miles away from the shop. This was mid February - I haven't heard anything since or seen any corrective measures on SR20Development's behalf in rectifying matters.

So, when you make a comment that there is nothing wrong with SR20Development - I ask that you rethink for a second and state facts.

FACT:
SR20Development installed a marginal BB DET last Oct. 2001 - the car was released Mid Feb. 2002.

EVIDENCE:

1. SR20Development owner and employees admit to having overheating issues Nov. 2001.
2. Despite the problems, SR20Development insisted upon using the same motor.
3. BB DET with blown head gasket

Tom, ultimately you're not responsible for this. Tell Chris Parker - owner/proprietor of SR20Development - that it would be in his best interest to make things right. So far, the promise he asked Mike Kojima to convey to me has yet to be fulfilled.

-Ron

So bigtom/Joker do you think there will ever be any resolution to this? Or does SR20Development need to lose more potential customers first.

Another sr20 development customer lost due to their practice of dishonesty. may the truth be heard and the ball keep rolling.
