I was wondering also. What is the major difference between VE headers and DE headers?
I thought I had read at one time that they are compatable but then heard that the ports were different sizes/shapes.

I just received my Fujitsubo header from a friend who lives in Japan. This thing is a work of art. All SS with neatly ground internals and flanges that make anything from HS look like sh*t.
Once I settle in after a long overdue vacation I can work with anyone who needs one of these headers. Keep in mind this is designed to fit a Primera so some alterations to the secondary are likely. I'll post what needs to be done when I compare secondary lengths with the HS unit.
I think you will have to extend the O2 wiring to under the car. On the Primeras the O2 is down near the lower oil pan. Thats why our pan has that weird little rectangular indentation. Thats what I've noticed on DE's I'm pretty sure the VE is the same.

What kind of price are we looking at? BTW I am joining the VE brotherhood soon, put a downpayment on a VE and Andreas is giving me the final price end of week.

Congrats! Is this the SR16VE with an SR20 crank, rod, and SR20VE pistons?

That is what is waiting to be decided. Whatever I can get first, maybe. He has a sr16ve but no headgasket to reassemble it with after the piston/crank swap. He also has some sr20ve's on the way. I will let you know.
i believe the fujitsubo header has a ball/socket flex joint. sr20development has a few headers available for the ve. the wait is about 3 weeks though. all of the units are stainless and polished. prices should be reasonable.
I just saw a pic of the Fujitsubo header in a Options Mag. It is a great header they even had dyno #s for them. Do not worry about Quality they are great. The SS finish is really nice. I am sure for all who need this header Shoes59 would not mind getting them for the people who might need them.

Great news. I did a side by side comparison of the Fujitsubo VE header designed for the P11 Primera and the HS header designed for my B13 and it looks as though the Fujitsubo will bolt right up to the cat without any modification whatsoever. The height, length and bends appear to be identical. The only changes necessary will be to relocate the O2 wires which is no big deal.
What do you think that means for my B14. I have the stock exhaust right now but obviosly will need to switch that out. Do you think it might bolt up and work OK for a 50 mile trip to a shop.

Having a stock exhaust vs. an aftermarket unit like Greddy makes no difference. The cat is still in the same location. From the looks of things it should bolt right up to your B14.

If you can make it look for the car inside one of the pavillions. We have a spot allocated for open track and auto-x prepared cars. There will be about 6 other SE-R's in there with me.
You'll have a blast if you come for the weekend. If you need a place to stay we can find a room for you to crash in. Hope to see you there.

Hope to see you there. I just didn't like the attitude of the NX2K??? newbie. His posts rubbed me and others the wrong way. I think one should read up on all the posts before spouting off at the mouth on how knowledgeable you are. It seems there are few people in the VE section that completely understand why we chose NA over turbo. I could give a rats ass if the Honda down the street is faster cause he's boosting. Being 42 years old I'm *WAY* beyond wanting to have the fastest car on the block.

There is always a faster car. I do think it would be neat to put some info together in one thread that would answer the basics. I know I have read every thread since this forum opened. I agonized over turbo vs. VE as you can see from that thread. The adult in me said VE is the best choice for my street/driving school use car. I can't wait to "maybe" drive your car. That is so nice of you to offer. Soon I will have my own VE in the Sentra SE. BTW almost 36.
