Buy them from SR20Turbofreak people, we have spoke many times on the subject, I sent him some retainers to look at for testing. He has spent his after hours and weekends checking out all options.

We have spoke over and over again about Spring presure and what is going to be needed for the goals of high reving VE motors,

This will be the best spring retainer combo at the best price.

So, if I were to get these for my VE, I could rev 9000 rpm after running them in? No other stuff needs to be upgraded at the same time?
Sounds cool, and price seems good for what I know. If it goes trough, I'll be on the interested-list till I can get some cash together (wich can be a long time).

Well of course you would want some performance cams guy, if the stock cams drop power at 7300RPM it would be pointless to rev anywhere past that.

Great job. Will the bottom of the retainer be any shorter to accomodate cams with more than 12mm of lift?

thanks,
Jeff

That's true of course. How about some N1 cams? They make power pretty high up, dont they? That would be cool..kicking it around town on 8000+ rpm...

Not quite so, if you put springs and retaainers in with stock cams you will gain some more HP from 7300-8000 RPMs becsue the engine would not go into valve float.

There is no need to be reving stock cams to 9000 RPMs though.

Agreed, but it would still be pointless you know

If this goes through, I already have my cam plans set.

I will probobly come out with an updated retainer design that will change that to about 13.6mm of clearance so you could safely run 13.0-13.1mm lift cams.

Thank you for providing proof to the drones that want to believe every word on this forum as gospel about the VE motor. My cam manufacturer said the exact same thing. Actually they said you can get about 14mm of lift before you run into issues if i were to run their retainers.

Thank you for going out of your way to create a product and willing to share with the community

I wish that circumstances were different and I hadn't bought my springs and cams from over seas. I would have bought these from you.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to your advice when I move to Redmond this weekend
