Short question bout sr16ve to sr20ve

Hi guys!
As I could understand from SEARCH, all I need is SR20DE crank and rods and SR20VE pistons. That is all I need? Why can`t I use sr20DE pistons? It is not similar to sr20ve pistons? Which max revs will I have after this setup? Someone did this strocking already? Thank you!

Thank you! I understand.
has anyone answers to other questions?
Is it really everything I need for stroking 1.6 to 2.0?

yeah thats it. If you look at stroker kits online they pretty much only give you the crank, pistons, rods, bearings, and piston rings.

Sorry, but found in one thread that using of 2001+ rods is needed. I have all parts from 1998 DE motor... Does it suit me? What is the difference between rods from 1998 and 2001+ motors? Also I found that sr16ve oilpan must be shaved somehow... is it nessesary too? Who did this stroking? Who could say, which modifications must be done while making 2 liter? Thank you in advance!

Now as I can understand - I open my engine, bore it for use with new sr20ve pistons, place sr20de crank and rods there, change rings and bearings. Is it all? Everything will connect without any problems, or....? Thank you guys... I just try to foresee all problems which might appear... I`d like to make this in couple days.

Thank you!
Pistons will be bought new from sr20ve, do you think they might not be notched?

Finally, as I could understand (sorry my bad English ), 1998 and 2001+ rods a similar? I seems dumb but I just don`t have much time and budget, so I`d like to know exectly....Thanks anyway

What pistons are you going to buy?

How much do they cost?

depending on what octane your petrol is , you can use the original sr16ve pistons as well to really give it some compression.

If you are using a SR16VE block, if you decide to use the girdle from a SR20 block you will need to either
cut off the pieces the oil baffles bolt into on the 1.6 upper oil pan and not use those baffles or
use an SR20 upper and lower oil pan.

What do you mean by GIRDLE? Whatis it? I don`t understand Enlish well

Well, I`m going to use sr16ve motor, sr20de crank and rods, sr20ve 2001+ pistons. What should I do else to gather this motor and stay calm?

To stay calm is easy. Plenty of Vodka!!!
Girdle is something you would find in a SR20 lowport motor. It is in essence a brace that strenghten the bottom end but as Charles have mentioned if you dont have one and stay N/A dont worry about it

What is N\A? a really don`t understand some words...
My engine is sr16ve, not sr20 lowport, so I don`t have this so called "girdle" there? As I understood it is some insertion between block bottom and oil pan? It looks like grill grate? If I have it, I need to throw it out? It would be a disturber for good working of the engine?

Vodka is not our way )))
