Just setting the record straight about Franklin Cams

I have followed the thread on the Franklin Cam issue and a few things have to be set straight.
I have sent a PM to Andreas about 7 months ago offering him a set of Franklin cams for free courtesy of Frankling cams. No reply! Adrian assured me he made the same offer but maybe there was a communication error. I spoke to Adrian of Franklin yesterday and he said he offered the cams for free. But there is more!
I have just received an email from him and it reads as follows. I will send a set of Franklin .cams, springs and titanium retainers for free to Andreas for the purpose of testing these cams as there are conflicting results between us down under and the USA.
No payment required and we will arrange the shipping!
Also there is no truth that we no longer have billets and we dont buy our billets from Kelford Cams. We both most probably buy the billets from the same supplier as there are not many companies manufacturing billets.
I am sure that there is about 40-Whp to be gained out of these cams with proper tuning and lets comment on these once the testing have been done for once and all and if they dont live up then bash them!
We have seen gains of 33Whp bolt on and there is reason to believe that it could further increase with timing and fuel maps.
Hope to see this happen

Thanks Gerrie. I was hoping you'd stick your neck out at some stage. I guess there is hope yet?

Sounds like someone was trying to start a rumor.

Miko knows his sh*t, no doubt.
But until now said he had no chance to test them. Why?

Franklin say that has seen gains 33whp just bolt-on. Where are those f@ckin' dyno sheets we all expect for years?

why are you guys bashing? based on this thread, they are offering (again?) free cams and springs to Andreas to test... once thats done and the tests are good (we know he will do them great.. dyno stock, then swap cams and dyno very soon after) then we will have the proof everyone is looking for... no one wants to dump $700+ in cams and stuff for us to lose power.. this will get us to the bottom of the whole issue with facts and not messed up installed or my rev limiter is only x rpm when i make power to here... if Andreas gets these cams we will see the truth...

this is great because none of the guys with ve's in the us and probably most outside will buy these cams without hard proof

Ill test them. I was planing a dyno with my car in the near future. I Have 20v cams in it now with the jwt springs. My motor is broken in and no oil or coolant issues car runs clean. I would do back to back runs.

I will be taking these cams.

Please send me an email address or PM address from this forum so we can get this thing going.

I also want to know if the base circles are the same on these cams or will I have to reshim the head. I ask this only because, if I do I want to be ready and have shims waiting in preperation for the install.

fcams@xtra.co.nz
Yes the base circles are the same and should just drop in but I will also check the clearances after the install just to be 100% sure.
Pse forward your mailing address to Adrian so these babies can get on its way.
