My VE back on the road again

After my miss adventures with a throttle body screw going into the motor I have my car running again. I had light port n polish done to the head while the damage was been repaired. I hit the dyno again and had to do a little retune of my rom. Turns out after the port and polish my A/F went a little richer than before. Picked up a little power even with the stock header still on it.

Before

After

mods so far are SR16cams, Calum ECU, RB20 maf, VE injectors, stock VE header to 2.25 cat to 2.5 VRgay exhaust system along with a warm air intake from my old DE AEM cold air intake. 91 pee water ftw. Rev limit is set at 7600 but the my dyno guy was looking at my stock tach and letting off at 7500 on the stocker which is 7400 lol.

Yes they are very good numbers. You need to open up that exhaust and let that baby breath.

Could the headwork be slowing flow, thus the richer mix? Glad you're locked and looaded again. Your vids really helped me knock down my 60' times.

so how much more was the valve job going to cost? my reason for asking was that as i understand it, a decent difference can be had when a valve job is done, as seeing that the head was off and gettin a nice port job, thought it would have been good to consider a the valves! but if money is the issue(as it is almost always these days) then .... i comprehend! but you gained a nice amount from a port job though. this is also interesting. hows the header coming along?

Did he do any work to the bowls, or did he just polish the ports?

It will be nice to see what this can lay down with a proper exhaust set-up.
