Sleeper Mufflers

Any guess about the quietest muffler for VE or most sleeper-ish muffler. If you can provide a part number that would be cool too. i was thinking of going withhttp://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MPE%2D11226&N=700 +400636+314482+4294891681+4294906131+115&autoview= sku
I plan on getting a aem intake as well to also keep it legal.. anyone ever get the good old hood pop out here in cali with the nissan valve cover on they're g20? Any lessons to be learned or good advice to keep my ass safe.

Thanks!

Sleeper: I would go with the Vibrant

but for quiet I would go with the GReddy SP2 or Apexi WS2.

This is what I had VRS do in 3" Magnaflow, asked them to do a standard straight through 5"x7" oval muffbut it most assuredly is NOT quiet. I just painted myself with semi-gloss black; it's not hot enuff back there to worry about heat.

Yes, it's a bit tilted in there. the one thing they missed just a bit, one of these days I'll take it out and re-do the weld and the hangers to get it to sit straight.

If you guys figure out QUIET without sacrificing a bunch of upper end hp, I'd love to hear about it.

I thought you gave the can a 'gangsta lean' on purpose Jerry.

I had a dynomax ultra-flo that was pretty quiet, but it was not pretty, and 2.5". A 3" exhaust kinda throws in the towel on civility.

I have a long resonator AND a cat in front of that muff. LOUD on them high cams, resonates big time 2800-3700 on the low cams. Good luck.

Well, I have an idea to make it more quiet. but it is pretty expensive

GO TURBO!!! It should quiet things up a bit with a resonator and a big muffler.

Check out Remus Mufflers. I had one on my other 96 se-r. Very quiet down low with deep tone, and then sounded great up top where it should be a little louder. No resonance either. This was with a stillen header, hks super dragger piping and the Remus muffler made for 95-99 eclipse gs.

cops don't car what it says on your valve cover... just show them the other thousand parts on your car that say nissan. your problem is going to be that a VE engine is not legal in Cali.

but on the other hand sentras and G20s are not known for being harrased in the bay area. i've been pulled over and the cop never even mentioned anything about poping the hood, my obviously aftermarket exhaust, my S4 cam idle or any other under hood mod.

Yet another stellar VRS exhaust system. My crap dose the same thing and more, Mine bounces around and hits a bolt while I'm on the fwy and makes the most annoying sound in the world. Thought it was the hatch on my NX but turns out it was the exhaust.
