So whenever i start my car up for work in the morning i wait a couple mins then drive.. but ive noticed theres a lag when its first started up in not just one gear but first thru 3. It acts as if im not giving it any gas and then the power comes back at a higher rpm but in the 1 to 3000 rpm range it just lags. is this just do to it still warming up. thanks.
ahh sh!t. why is it that way anyhow..does it get worse..?
The ECU retards timing alot when you go WOT at low RPM, so no, it wont get worse. Nothings really broken, its just really conservative timing to prevent detonation.
awesome thanks guys.. any other quarks about the ecu...does my car need to go on a dyno to run "right" or be configured better? or by having the jwt and ve motor as is good enough? what are some off the bat things i should know , me being used to a de motor. anything i should be careful of etc?
ahh well...fugit. what happens if you need to rip it though and its bogging, by flooring it screw something up other than the normal wear and tear from ripping it.
so if you give it a little gas it still does this?.. i had this prob on my turbo jwt and it cleared up a lot when i changed some of the vacuum hoses
