I had a whole mod thing typed and lost it during the post. Hate that.
anyway, JWT road race tune 100 Oct race fuel
Hotshot CAi
outlaw eng. thermol intake insulator
3" ex turned to the side
20* timing
46 psi fuel press with Nismo fpr.

as for the fuel ratio there has to be an exhaust leak somewhere. The numbers are too good to be actually leaning out.

Its probably leaking at the flex if its hitting your crossmember. I know mine is leaking from that spot.

The flexpipe is ok. The copper gasket maybe the culprit. I have to put it up on a lift to listen at idle if there is a leak.

I know Eric.
There is still a slight power loss after cam activation which coencides with the leaning out. There is still more in it with somemore tuning. I have to stop the exhaust leak and find out the actual reading.

Man I would love to feel that car. My SEL only got 170whp up here in Utah. High flow intake filter, uh, jwt flywheel, ssac header, and stock everything else. I am sure if I weren't at 4000 ft I would get better numbers.

ive seen almost all VVLs make 180+ with basic bolt ons. Its nothing new. Congrats on your numbers, sr16 cams with some cam gears will give you about 12-15 additional whp. Do the math.

All of our stock cammed VE cars down here are well into the 180's.

Good #'s Andy. Andy would you consider adding a S-AFC for tuning? You will be very serprised how it could help. I am not sure if it is allowed for you to use one in your race group.

I am curious. Why is that the Hotshot Gen 6 ON THE VVL motors are not well received? Even Mike K. Is not thrilled about it.
What would be the better header to use on a stock motor? Without argueing 3hp difference. I mean a significant hp difference. Has anyone made more than 189hp?Stock motor with external bolt on. Include # with an S-AFC as SE-Rican, said.

Why would an exhaust leak affect the AF ratio...

O2 sensors sense the amount of oxygen in the exhaust stream. If there is a leak before the sensor, oxygen is introduced affecting the READINGS not the actual engine air fuel ratio.
