Just recieved the JWT/VE ECU

I can't believe it but I just received the VE programed ECU today. I was expecting a long wait. All I need now is a sr20ve to try it on. Hope it works better then Jim's ECU.

I just started reading this thread when I hear a knock at my door and lo-and-behold it's the FedEx man with a package from JWT with a new chip in it.

I'll have to try it out this weekend.

Freeky!!!

Keep us posted. I guess you are still running the engine a little with the spun bearing?

I'm actually not running it at all but I can turn it on long enough to throw in the chip and see if it idles okay with the VE MAF.

It looks like Fed Ex attempted to deliver a package to my house but but I wasn't home to receive it. Per the shippers instructions someone must sign for it. I wasn't expecting anything so maybe JWT sent a new chip to try out. Hmmm. I wonder if their offices are open tomorrow so I can go pick up this package, whatever it is.

Stop running the engine with a spun bearing. If you do that to much you will damage the crank. A spun bearing is fixable if you do not keep driving the motor or starting it. All you need to do is change bearing and polish crank in the motor.

The Fed Ex delivery I missed yesterday was in fact a new chip from JWT. The invoice says "shipping test chip at N/C please contact Clark with feedback"

I didn't request this so I'd say it's dam good customer service. I won't have a chance to try it till later next week when the weather gets better but will posts results when I do.

Just tested the new JWT chip and my car would not start with this unit. Sputtered and stumbled but would not start. Put the older revision chip in and it fired right up.

I talked to Clark about this and told him the chip arrived loose in the packaging with a couple prongs slightly bent. He thinks maybe it suffered some static damage or something so he's sending another for me to try. More later.
