Update VE in and vvl working... had to use a MSD 8969 cause I messed up my MSS... I plan to get an mss later on in the future but for now the 8969 works well

I still have to figure out some issues. One being my a/c blower wont turn on. Mike (p10det) was trying to help me with that but needed more time to figure it out also still need to wire up one of the idle connectors and connect some misc hoses.

Good one. I've got my cams working on a manual switch, while I'm waiting to hook the SR16VE ecu up...

Congrats on the project. I had to use a MSD 8969 after my MSS decided not to work after an accidental disconnect from the power source. Tried to reconfigure, no go. Bought another MSS before the MSD and tried to set it up with all connections double checked and installation done right. Wouldn't let me set the off parameters for both cams, kept blinking when I pressed the set button. After 3-4 days of this sh*t snagged the MSD and haven't looked back. Works every time, no fuss no hassles. What ecu are you using? How did you mess up your MSS?

i'm using a jwt ecu with a jumper harness (which i think is giving me problems with my a/c) and the mss got destoryed cause I put a ground where it should have been +12v.. (it was used and the wire for the 12v was a balck wire so I just hooked it up to ground)

Bringing back to life.Curt can you clarify somethings please?
You used your 02 harness with a jumper/adapter for a obd1 ecu to run the VE but separate switches for the solenoids. Your 02 harness wouldn't have the plugs anyway for the solenoids.
Did this in anyway affect the security/ key features of the 02? Did you figure out the AC issue?

As I stated in my thread I got the harness made from some dudes on the forum here. Last time I heard they werent making them anymore. Your best bet is to do a 99 P11 harness swap. Search on the G20 forums and you will get some info. Search for threads from curtdragon(me) and Krist(had a 99 harness swap done)

Solenoids are never triggered by the ECU when people do VE swaps.
AC was due to a bad sensor, but then I had cracked lines and never replaced them. I did have the a/c running for a day before the freon leaked out.

As for the security/key Not sure but I had a remote start installed so there is a module with a chip from my spare key to defeat that.

For everyone else. I sold the car several months ago so I cant tell you current status
