Those of you.....

that have had the opportunity to install an SR20VE, did you happen to notice if you can use the DE alternator, water pump on the VE engine? There reason i'm asking is because the VE engine that I'm interested in apparently does not have these items and i'd like to know if I could swap these items. TIA

I know you can use the alternator. I didn't look to closely at the water pump.

Like Charles said you can use the DE alternator. In fact you have to use the DE unit if you plan to run a HS header. The VE alternator is larger and interferes with the HS header.

Never bothered to look at the WP but I suspect it'll bolt right up.

I am having a similar problem. The engine I am looking at does not have a MAF Sensor. I have heard that the MAF on the VE is identical to the one on the Frontier.

can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

I asked Clark at JWT about this about 2 weeks ago and he said that it is not the same.
