ALLMOTORSENTRA, Hey can you provide a little bit more details on how you relocated ur alternator? Im trying to find the easiest/cheapest way to take out my power steering. Also, the tractor battery...I assume that's for weight reduction? Will any lightweight battery do?

This is a good topic cause Im always thinking of ways to save weight too =0P

sure any lightweight battery will do but the tractor batt prob weights 10-15 lbs and only cost 25$$$. ihave had zero probs. i put it on the r/s and the overflow in front of the radiator. As for the alt it is one from a 87 sentra i think, its small and has a 3 groove pulley the bracket is scratch built.i really need to post pics of my headlight ram air intake, the 5th gear highway accel is crazy. hey bigtom where do you run the 1320 it be cool to check out your ride. O yeah i need to mention there was a new addition to my team my bud just bought a 91 se-r and with some TLC she'll be blasting down the track in no time

Using the Silvia Alt is the best way to go. This is a design I came up with a few years ago. It is easy to do and requires little work. If you want I can build one for you with completed shaved bracket and even send you the belt to use on it. The whole set up would be about $150 that includes all parts, my labor and shipping.
