SR20VE with SR16 ecu set-up...

Now I've got the VE in and running on the P11, I'm looking at getting the best out of it. Currently I'm running her on just the low cams with a DE set-up (DE ecu, mat, dizzy, injectors). I'm planning to swap to a VE set-up with SR16 cams, SR16 ecu and VE maf & dizzy. However, it strikes me that the SR16 ecu and cams are set for a 1600cc engine and not a 2000cc engine. As the SR16VE and SR20VE both run 333cc injectors, logic says this set-up will mean I'll be running lean.
What are my options on getting around this? Would fitting larger injectors (370cc) help...?

run your de ecu with a afc, then get a rpm switch for the vvl.

SR20VE engine draws more air through the MAF, so if you have an SR16VE ECU/MAF it can run quite well as the ECU references a much higher part of the ECU mapping as it senses more 'load' and injects more fuel.

If I understand you correctly, I should be ok with 333cc injectors and I won't have any lean running problems...

You would be better to get 370cc injectors & a fuel regulator then you can control the mixtures a bit more & the 370cc injectors are cheap as. Several VE's here ran the SR16VE ECU on a 20VE with this setup... of course you can make it really hum with a bit of ECU tuning
