Damn The Prices Are Going Up On VEs

Why have the prices at JAPANESE ENGINES INC. gone up so much. They were selling SR16VEs and SR20VEs in the mid $1500-$1800.

Starting bid on the SR16VE is $2,499.00

Starting bid on the SR20VE is $2,699.00

All Japanese in florida is still selling them for 1250. So whatever its all good. Boost if they get to pricey. I've always felt a det is the bargain out of the two. I see the ve more as the novelty motor.

I not sure whether US price have soared up or not

but basically at my country, it come in as Complete Front CLIP

the price for SR16VE complete front Clip is normally around USD 1.7k without bodypart

SR20VE even cheaper around USD 1.2k ,
complete clip. unstripped engine

those Engine which is stripped from clip
which we call Floor Engine have lesser value
like those selling at ebay as show by Miko

A SR16VE Floor Engine with gearbox attached.. no wiring, no ECU, no driveshaft is priced around USD 1k

A SR20VE Floor Engine. with the CVT gearbox.. no wiring, no ECU
USD 500

but shipping to US is Killer price

At my country
20VE is cheaper due to the Engine registration issue
if engine registration is not a issue.. i expect 20VE price will go up as well

if you get a ocean shipped container and you can go pick up about 50 VEs for about $500 a piece, and the shipping is only about 1500 for a large container. with the prices up high it would be a good investment.
