I've recently done a VE swap on my p11 and i've noticed that after the cars sat for a while when i start it the starter goes for about 10 seconds before the engine splutters to life. After its started it goes sweet. Does anyone know how to correct this?
My car recently started to do this. Even though its not a VE I think its possible that your injector O-rings could be leaking. Wouldn't hurt to give that a shot.

my ve does this too. are you using a de ecu, or a calum, or jw? anouther thing i noticed is that it seems like my de starter has trouble kicking over the higher compression VE and the starter makes a loud whining noice.
