VE Compression Talk again

Just to like to know how to make my Engine to 11.0 to 12.0 compression

SR16VE block
SR20VE rod and crank
SR20VE 20V metal gasket

with 16VE piston is 13.5

how to reduce it ?
double later of metal gasket ? or find 2mm VVL gasket ?

with 20VE piston is 10.3

how to increase it ?
Skim the head 1mm ?

sorry for the ignorance

i try to avoid using 20V piston.. just looking another alternative to make it at the compression level

so a sr16 piston shaved and deeper valve relieves will net 12.0:1... cool

cutting 1mm off the head will INCREASE compression and make your valves closer to your pistons and if you run 20ve pistons you don't have valve reliefs

Notch the 16ve pistons deeper and get some head work done to deshroud the valves...this way you will increase the CC of the head and deepen the valve reliefs.

the perfect excuse to get headwork done

yes.. i porting the head as well doing the whole head job with the N1 cam and charles S/R
so i thinking to skim to get the higher compression if i use 20VE piston

but still not sure what the best option

overall people saying the shave the 16VE piston is best option i have apart from 20V piston

i try to avoid aftermarket piston at the moment

I think i will try the 16VE piston

" take .040" out of the valve notches and take .040" off the top of the piston. that should drop it down to about 12.0:1 or so "

12.0.1 is suitable for RON 97 fuel ?
