Its funny how the yanks go round and round with out actually answering the inital question. Just like the 2005 franklin cams debate... still waiting for them to be tested.....
Back to the question. The SR20VET comes out of a Nissan x-trail GT model.
Try yahoo Japan auctions - that would be your best bet.

Alright, listen here my friend. I have read every single post you have made and each response regarding the Franklin cams. After hearing you bitch about "those dumb americans" for the 387th time all I can say is:
SHUT THE F*CK UP
Why? Because I answered his question and I am a yank.
I took very careful consideration of the options and provided him with the most viable one given his circumstances.
1) Japan auctions: Bad idea. I would never buy a motor from US auctions. Not to mention that if he does not know where to get one, he probably cannot speak Japanese, because if he can speak Japanese, he would have gotten on a Japanese forum and spoke to the people in Japan who can tell him where IN JAPAN he can get a motor.
Alright. So, obviously he doesn't speak Japanese... Then why the fu*k would you buy from a Japanese auction when you can't read a single thing on the posted ad? To add onto that, not only can he NOT read what is being said, chances are he cannot make contact with the person making the sale. To add onto that he would then need to make business relationships with an overseas seller who could also converse in English.
2) Call Andreas Miko (the most reputable and statistically the best at getting rare nissan parts) who has the ability or knows people with the ability to do everything I mentioned above, to help him get the motor he is looking for.
So, good sir. I respect you fully, but here is one big "f*ck you" just for you.

You my friend have an Inferiority complex.
Its always the yanks against the AUS. It has nothing to do with that we dont care. It will be OK, we dont care that you are better than us, life still goes on for us.
Apparently the kiwis don't know a dead horse until they have beaten it for a week or so. Give it up already. As a forum member I'm tired of hearing it. Damn!!! No real knowledge. Nevermind spouting ignorance. To the point where knowledgable people are mocking you. You have made fools of yourself and don't realize it. Hence the kiwi conversations with plenty of hearsay. No country related bias here just fact. GET OVER IT. Do I need to mention dead horse again. Last I checked this forum is based in the USA, if you don't like it create your own site. Please stop whining!!!
Mentallity....The few of us never broke anything, then everyone else is wrong. Its like adolelescent jealousy. Hopefully there is nothing lost in this geographic translation....COME OFF IT!!!

Obvoius that you have not READ any of the posts I have made, so me where I had stated "those dumb americans" I have been awaiting - like 90% of the community in Anticipation
Why? Because I answered his question and I am a yank. No, because you said Nowhere! (Call Andreas Miko) which technically is not correct. Not my fault your a yank
I took very careful consideration of the options and provided him with the most viable one given his circumstances. No, you basicly told him he will not be able to get this motor unless he buys it from Andreas
1) Japan auctions: Bad idea. I would never buy a motor from US auctions. I said Yahoo japan, not US Not to mention that if he does not know where to get one, hence the reason he asked he probably cannot speak Japanese, because if he can speak Japanese, he would have gotten on a Japanese forum and spoke to the people in Japan who can tell him where IN JAPAN he can get a motor. or maybe he asked the biggest SR20 community where to purchase an SR20 motor from??
Alright. So, obviously he doesn't speak Japanese... Above you say the he may not be able to speak it, now your saying that he can't Then why the fu*k would you buy from a Japanese auction when you can't read a single thing on the posted ad? there are translation website around To add onto that, not only can he NOT read what is being said, chances are he cannot make contact with the person making the sale. Why, because he is unable to write Japanese to english "translation" into google search box To add onto that he would then need to make business relationships with an overseas seller who could also converse in English. strange I know, but some people in Japan do know how to speak languages other than their native tounge. Just as you are obviously.. CRAP would be your second language
2) Call Andreas Miko (the most reputable and statistically the best at getting rare nissan parts) who has the ability or knows people with the ability to do everything I mentioned above, to help him get the motor he is looking for. In your neck of the woods maybe. he was looking for a motor, I was giving him an option as to where to purchase one from without having to go thru a third person
So, good sir. I respect you fully, but here is one big "f*ck you" just for you.
I don't care what you respect and don't respect, and No thanks, you can keep it.
And just to add: this one was for sale for < NZ$10K two weeks ago - strangly enough.. In Japan.
I bought my 33 GT-R from a Japanese auction site...
I don't speak Japanese...
It's not hard.
I just sold my VET for 6k NZ, good luck with your project but research it well. If I was going to build a turbo VE now I would go with a 16VE and rebuild it with a 2.0 bottom end. The VET is cool but as for best money spent the 16VE rebuild would be better.

Not really my business but I noticed that your are from Falmouth, or should we read Foulmouth instead ? Keep your curses to yourself and try to be a gentleman. Cursing lowers your category.
This might be an US based forum, but it's open to anyone with SR20 interests and they all share the same freedom of speech. So no one will accept to be told to shut up, it will be interpretetd the wrong way.
So let's not go the political way and keep this a nice forum where we share thoughts and laughs about the SR20 motor and where no-one is better or superior. Modesty seems to be the best approach
VET, VE, 20V.
you can get it easily anytime from japan
the biggest headache you need to sort your self is shipping from Japan to US
and one thing japanese doesnt like to deal with oversea shipping since it a bit hassle
that why you see yahoo auction japan normally seller dont ship international even it is small item only
haha Sorry everyone, didn't mean to cause a big ordeal. I'll definitely take everyones ideas into consideration. Hey Miko if you come across another one It wouldn't be a think to get it to my mom's. She lives in Melbourne. I think thats like 3hrs up coast. I'm still not sure if I just want to do a VVL over a VET. I'm not looking for a race car. I'm more about style an making the motor run awesome. A little more show, unique. I'm looking for a 4light sunny front bumper.
