20VE produces a lot more torque, so the 4.7 or 4.9:1 ratio is too low unless you want constant wheelspin at the slightest press of the throttle. 4.9:1 has a much bigger wheel torque multiplication and is not necessary. Depending on your engines torque output spread, you should consider a better gear ratio spread.
As Sr20Turbofreak suggested, the 6 speed box is the way to go. It will keep you on the hi lobes during the 3rd/4th/5th/6th gear changes, where the engine is making more hi rpm torque.
