This weekend was the experience of a lifetime for me. about a week ago my de finally was put to rest after 160,000 miles.
so here i was without a car and no way to work so i needed help ASAP.
So I trailered the car down to miami for andreas, he had the motor there and was going to do the install.
on the first day we got rained out, so we started on saturday, and i was on the road sunday afternoon and drove the car all the way back to sarasota with no problems at all!
Andreas was a miracle worker, we ran into a few problems and had to make a few trips for a new radiator ( had a 1.6 lol ) and some belts and hoses and stuff but he got it done and damn its clean.
Andreas, Thank you! You really helped me out even *** i was short on cash you got it done all the way. Thanks for going waaay out of your way to help a fellow forum member. you have made a friend for life!
All i need now is the following: pay off some people, ecu, intake, maf and a catback!
i can get to work again!

You got to put up a pick of the job when it is done. Well still a few thing to do untill funds catch up.
These guys were just about the funiest guys you ever met. They had me alughing and shaking my head while I was doing the job. These guys should become comedians.

ay andreas. im thinking about moving to either maryland, virginia or florida. when funds get up and im ready for a swap, would u help me do it?? =]
p.s: i would seriously drive to florida just for a reliable and respected person to do the swap. =]=]
No problem on the swap, make sure you come and plan to spend 3-4 days as I only like to work on cars 3-4 hours at a time and I like taking my time nowadays. Working on cars is getting old. I have lost a little bit of the love.
well whatever works to get the job done. i never did an engine swap before so i plan on getting dirty and doing alot of the work. as long as you tell me what to do. lol. and i completely understand what you mean. i MIGHT be in the navy, so a 3 day weekend would be cool.

On a serious note if i brought the car down there and nothing more (IE buy the motor from you and everything) what would your charge for this swap? (not really asking for myself one of my H*&%a buddies was wondering what the cost would be from an expeiranced person). Although i would love to swing down there and get you to drop one in im pretty sure i could do it and save myself labor plus gas $$$, remeber b13 owners are CHEAP lol.

Believe me guys that is totally TRUE!!! but at the long run is completely worth it.
I am just waiting for a spark of love on Dre's life to go dyno tuning.
