No Start w/ 7 Heat Range

I wanted to know if anyone is using 7 heat range plugs.

I currently have NGK BKR5EIX-11 in my 20VE, i have 16ve pistons so i decided to run cooler plugs knowing that VEs' use 6 heat range and N1s' use 7.

But my motor wont start with 7's , there BKR7EIX-11 iridums. I have'nt tried to close the gap yet but I figure its weird that the 5s with the 1.1mm gap work decent and the 7s withe the same gap wont even start..

any suggestions or thoughts

Does seem a bit weird, take them out and see if you've carboned them up. Normally you'd have to run it with the plugs before they'd show signs of excessive carbon though.

Sure it is not something else? I am running 7's with a 1.5mm gap on my car without a problem. Did you disconnect the coil lead or something?

It should atleast be firing or 'popping' from the exhaust
