My drag radials have been slowing me down by the looks of things. I used Falken Ziex's 185/60/14. But my times are still way slower than they should be according to the forum. I also ran with the catback and then straight header with almost no differance at all (less than .070 diff) My friend has been telling me that everyone on this forum is just not telling the truth because this is the internet and they do'nt have to show proof for their bragging rights, and I am starting to think the same. Especially after getting my 2.0 60ft and still having a crappy 1/4 mile time.
If people on here are telling the truth and my car should be doing 13.8-14.2 then something is wrong with my car!
I am going to try and get a dyno run soon. Maybe that will help me find out what's wrong.
Mods: sr20ve super clean and had 210 compression when I tested it.
9lbs flywheel with jgy pp and oem disc
Apexi wai
Ebay stainless header 2" outlet
Calum "basic VE tune"
short shifter
Test pipe
Engine swap parts used: DE maf, VE injectors, DE dizzy.
Car: 92' b13 full interior gutted trunk, stock battery.
The heat is going to be hell on your car making power. you might want to retune the ecu too. I ran 15.2's in mine with 2.2 60's but I was at a higher elevation which slows n/a cars down .50 in the 1/4 mile. I was also on the stock header at the time.

Are you sure that mph is correct

i have a ton of slips to comapre with from the convention... heres one that i have cloesest to your time.. i ran a best that day of a 14.8 at 95.05mph... back to on topic, this is my slip, honest and no bs'in you here
closest to your time
R/T... .422
60'... 2.246
330... 6.476
1/8... 9.816
MPH... 73.64
1000...12.679
1/4... 15.088
MPH... 95.40
this is in my 98 stock lowport. you see to climb real slow at your top end, ingition parts good? the VE kicking to hi cam? with that 60' you should be gone.
When I went to the track with stock cams it average 96 to 97 mph in the quarter which is what you are almost at. I would run 14.2 to14.5 time wise. something is not right with the time or speed. OH! and at the eight speed would we between 77 to78 mph.
no one is lieing about times. with a 2.0 60ft i run 13.5 @ 100.7. but the only diff is the mph, your car is not pulling as hard as it should, which means your car is not making the power it should. you need to find out whats holding you back, figure that out and your traps will improve. stock cams should be 97+mph
What are you using to switch the big lobes on the cams?? MSD??? Summit switches?? GReddy e-mange???
With a 60' like that you should be in the mid 14's easily.
Are you using the stock exhaust also?? This would definetly hurt you.

1st thing is you need to find the DA' (density altitude) of the day you went racing. Go to this link and input weather conditions and elevation of the track for that day. This will tell you how much weather is affecting your engine's output. Also looking at your time slip i think something is wrong with the 1/8 mile trap. If ur other time slips look the same, then you must have a car capable of 105-110mph traps lol. I believe you ran closer to 73mph in the 1/8.

I would use the DA' link but I can't even find a site that will tell me about the conditions on June 15, Chandler AZ 85224zip.
I tried running with my stock cat-back and straight header but it did'nt even make a dent in my 1/4 mile times. Almost no differance at all.
My 1/8 mile mph and the rest of my numbers are exactly the same as what it reads on my slip. The 1/8 mile mph's range from 74mph to 86mph on my other slips.
I am using two Summit switches, intake is about 4700rpm's and exaust is 4800rpm's.

What are you shifting at? Are you staying in the powder band? What does your car weight..with you and without? Any dyno #. Cant say people are lieing if your not trying to look into somthing you have in your own hands.
The car has nothing in the trunk and no other wieght reduction other than that. I had a 1/4 tank of fuel at the time. So I'm guessing the car wheighs about 2450 plus me 135 that should put the car at around 2585lbs. I am shifting at 7500-7600rpm's, any higher and my times become slower.
I will try to schedule a dyno run this week.

Some thing is really wrong there. When I was boost I ould trap 86-88 in the 1/8 and at the 1/4 it would register at 116 to 119 mph. Check that out. The track may have done an arror.
