What did they love compared to the MSD? I'm curious, does it do somthing the MSD don't do?

I lower my points so that my revs don't dip below the activation points on tracks with loose surfaces.

Or you could also set de-activation at a different RPM than activation. Or have it WOT-dependant.

not everyone wants to be a street/track racer..
Reasons why Greddy MSS is better:
1. 2 Separate activation points (more power under the curve smoother ride overall)
2. TPS activation (in case your car is a daily driver and you dont want vvl kicking on all the time) saves gas
3. Speed activation (VTEC works with tps, and speed as well as other parameters, so you dont activate it in 1st gear) saves gas
4. Small lightweight display, easy to mount in the car... shows all the parameters you have hooked up, speed, rpm, tps position, etc

Cons vs MSD:
1. cost more
2. not as easy to program and install
3. ....?

god bless you brother. thank you for posting some of the pro's and cons. but to be honest...i just like the display, and i can get to the mss without going under the hood. i'm still not sure why any of that matters.....i just want the greddy mss. simple. but that info you posted was very usefull as i didnt know a few of those points....just makes me want it even more now. thanks again

I'm not going to argue with you, because you drive a P11!

I'm using the old school MSD boxes and I have separate activation points. I'm not worried about using more gas by having the cams switch in 1st gear. I just don't rev high enough in that gear for the cams to switch. The rpm boxes are so much easier to program. I remove the pill and insert a new one. If that is difficult for someone to do, then they need to take their bicycle to work, but then again, that has confusing gears to deal with. I like the MSD boxes better. Set it and forget it, but then again, I'm not a street warrior and need to lower my cams to change at 2k rpm for street cred, nor do I care about the display.

3. No digital display of idle under the hood - would be great for setting timing.
4. Need to add relays.
5. Blingier, alright if you want your windows broken.

i like the mss mainly because you can change the peramiters whenever you want from inside your car in under 10seconds. its the easiest interface possible.
