SR16VE/20VE Conversion

I have a SR16VE and a SR20VE. I want to use the SR16VE head on the SR20VE btm. How do I make this conversion work? What are the necessary parts that I will need? I also am using this car as a daily driver.

Take the SR16VE cams and put them in the SR20VE head.

Good to go! IIRC the to heads are the same....

maybe he has put some money, or a lot of work into his head. so since they are the same there is nothing specialy, just put the head on your 2.0ve bottom end

Well, I heard that If u were to place the sr16ve head on the sr20ve block you would see some good hp gains, is this true? Wouldnt it be similar to those honda's that have the b16 on a b18 ? Also I have the SR16VE in my Lucino VZR already and my frend has a primera TE-V that I am gettin the SR20VE block from b/c he is going to reuse his old SR20DET GTiR motor. Also I was wondering if there is any real difference between the Autech version SR16VE and the normal one, because my Lucino is the Autech version and it has a sticker on the valve cover nex to the Neo Vvl sticker that says E-JN15 autech and then a bunch of jap writing... heres a pic of my motor.

This is not true.

The SR16VE head and SR20VE head are the same.

If you have a SR20VE just put the SR16VE cams in it.

This is not a Honda so dont base Honda facts on a Nissan.

Hmm ok thanks. another question is *** is there any differences between the Autech verison SR16VE and the normal SR16VE? What should I do to my SR16VE then, performance wise? does it make sense to mod it? should I turbo it?

I dont think there is an Auteck SR16VE

There is an Auteck SR20DE with 175hp

Now there is 2 diffrent SR16VEs

N1 SR16VE with Burgandy valve cover 200 HP
This motor comes with

ported head and head is shaves 1mm
Bigger Cams
11.8 to 1 compression
70mm TB
Larger intake Plenum with slightly shorter runners

SR16VE with Blue valve cover 175 HP

11 to 1 compression
smaller cams than N1 but bigger than regular SR20VE

Ahhh alright thks. Well i guess all thats left for me to do to the 16VE is make it into a "N1" along with getting some headers and fine tune the ECU. As for the Autech verison.

Well you can start by getting intouch with Greg V at G Spec Peformance at the bottom of the page.

He can get you the N1 cams and the complete N1 intake manifold.

hmm take a closer pic of the plaque on the vc next the NEO VVL POST PICS OF THE JAPANESE writing i think we can get it translated.
if it is an autech.. i would rethink about takin the motor apart.. rarity wise only.

The Autech stickers could be for the body kit and the white face guages.

I have never heard off an Autech version SR16VE.

I too, have an Autech VZ-R. I can assure you they didn't touch the internals of the engine. The ecu maps are exactly the same as a normal VZ-R (we even downloaded them for a comparison). They do have a real nice bodykit, a rad interior and a sporty exhaust but apart from that, there's no real difference. I'm with these guys, put your SR20VE in with the SR16VE cams and some 370cc injectors, slap your blue rocker cover on there and away you go.

what is the stock sr16ve tb size? May I use tomei 70mm tb or N1 is better? Greg's N1 tb is 3in~76 mm on the picture. It's bigger? The tb square increment is sufficient!!! more than a 50%.

stock TB size is 60mm This comes on SR16VE and SR20VE.

Get the N1 TB

The N1 TB is 70mm at the plate. The mouth of the TB is 76mm
