which springs/retainers to choose?

There is a great oportunity to choose, but I can't make a choice.
N1, Greg V, Franklin, Turbofreak and others.

My current head / cams are sr16ve (blue) and my will is to safely rew to 9-10k with current cams and also with N1 or S4.

All of the sellers of aftermarket springs/retainers don't give the characteristics, such as weight, force of spring, material and etc.

That is why I want to ask members of community, which sets to choose.

Greg V S&R are Turbofreaks i believe. Can't remember any specifics but it has been discussed basically Turbofreaks springs are Stiffer/Stronger/Safer springs then the N1 at high RPM and would be a good choice to go with. There are many other reasons but i just trusted Charles and took his word when purchasing His springs they have been proven quite a few times in different motors!

Not to sure on retainers! i know the TI has to be inspected Once for cracks after installation! I didn't know of to many VVL chromoly retainers but it would be a great material for retainers to be made out of...

Ahh ok well they would be better then the TI ones as there OEM In terms of longevity. But They only suit N1 springs Which are still quite soft!

Im not sure how the stock retainers will hold up at 10K but for 8-9 k they won't have to be replaced!

my stock sr16ve works 8k in stock.

n1 springs are softer due to higher lift but the same peak rpm. I suppose n1 retainers are little lighter. but still no figures and I only have to suppose.

Adrian (franklin) told me about safe 10k (peak 11-12) on their: s4 + s/r.

Yup similar to turbofreaks he rated them 10-11K which you won't have to worry about unless your pockets are very deep! both franklin and charles springs will work sweet! go with what you feel like! I'm not sure how many people have Franklin springs and retainers where Charles has tested his to 10.5K with boost

the price is similar. I think that the repair will be much more expencive than the proper built engine.
