USDM Lowport on VE

Sorry if it's been asked...

Will a USDM Lowport intake manifold fit on a VE motor? SMOG swindle option?

I suppose you could make anything work if you can weld well enough. Seeing as I can and do walk into my garage and look at both pretty regularly.... the only thing similar is the fact that they turn up from the head.
