Do you still have the old B15 end btw? Want to sell it?
Sorry, I'm using the B15 ECU female and B14 harness male connectors to make an adapter so I can plug the B15 harness into the B14 ECU without modifying the B15 harness (much).

Well, I spliced my harness directly and I have a spare B15 ECU if you need it. It's just sitting on a shelf doing nothing right now. You can PM me if you need one.

B15 ECUs I've got, I need the bit of the B15 harness that plugs into the B15 ecu. If you've got it and would like to sell it, my shipping address is listed on the order form below, e-mail me a reasonable price shipped with pay-pal fees and I'll pay-pal you right back.
Well just about everything is set except extending a few sensors. Spoke with Ben at JWT today, the 5 week anniversary of them receiving my ECU. He stated the tech would have it finished tomorrow and with 3 day shipping I should receive it Friday. Here's hoping that's the case and maybe I'll have a few days to troubleshoot and get the cam activation set up before it snows.
Strange, seems 6 weeks is the norm for turn around. Just wish they'd say that and set expectations appropriately. Oh well, not all business run like that, glad I work for one that does, wouldn't want that rep stuck to me.
Anyway, can't wait. I sat in my car yesterday for a few minutes to alleviate my withdrawal and post traumatic old a55 Altima driving syndrome.

Hang in there. I was about to throw the SE in the garbage a few times myself. Once the project was over and I got it on the track, and all the worries were gone.
Since I had the ECU, I've done 1 time trial event, 1 autocross event and one track/lapping event (that is in just over 3 weeks of having the ECU). The car is amazing with the new motor, and I'm sure you'll like it. It also has been very reliable. I've actually driven around in eastern Ontario all day on Sunday, and the car never had the slightest hint of trouble.
By the way, on the lapping event I went to, only two cars were faster than I was, and these were a modified STI and an M5. All others were biting my dust, including a boosted Miata, an S2000 (w/bad driver) and a few 944's
Maybe the B15 is a bit overweight for the VE, but it still hauls pretty good. It drinks a lot of fuel on the track, however

I'm glad your diggin' the VE. I don't mind the swap at all, it's gone pretty well with all the great help of the forum. So far everything looks pretty clean, I'll get some more pics up soon.

Good stuff!
I've been meaning to post up pics of the finished product myself. I need to get a digicam one day. I always beg for them...
Well, first it didn't but it only took about 2 minutes to figure out that the ground wire spade was too lose to stay on the starter. A quick tighten then it turned over, put the fuel pump fuse back in and vroom, sputer, loopy, loopy, loopy. Then turn the ignition off and it runs much smoother until it finally stops running 5 seconds or so later.
Throw the timing light on it, didn't bother with the timing procedure, and set to 15 degrees. Turned off the ignition then started it back up and it ran much better. A bit of smoke from exhaust yet, some gremlins to work out I suppose.
This all without the MAF connected yet, still waiting on a call regarding how to adapt the B14 MAF to be used with the B15 harness and B14 ECU.
Never heard back from my "inside" guy on how to convert the B15 MAF connector to the B14 MAF (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) but I managed to figure it out. A little risk but hey...
After getting it into timing mode (most likely) and using the MAF it seemed to idle much better. I drove to the gas station and it ran OK, though the timing felt a bit off, but after shutting off and filling up it ran fairly rough and bucked a bit around 2k RPM. Codes for the EGR solenoid and water temp sensor. The EGR solenoid is upside down, wonder it that bugs it. I took the day off tomorrow so I'll make sure the plunger is working. The water temp sensor is new and should be connected OK. The temp gauge sender is working and the gauge reads a steady increase to halfway. The fans kicked on and off at first but started running full on after the temp sensor error.
What did you happen to change?? You can also hit up Rob in Arizona AZTurbo2 about the MAF problem as he has done this so many times he can do it blind folded. He's the one that bought my VE B15 and finished it...

MAF was easy enough, had to drop a wire used by the B15 but not the B14 ECU.
The adapter that I made to go from the B15 harness to B14 ECU was not very tough. I ended up pulling the pins out of the B15 harness connector and plugging them into the B14 ECU connector. Much better overall and also allowed me to enable the OBDII scanner port and EVAP purge control. Bad timing was causing the hesitation. Installed a new front O2 and connected the EVAP purge control valve as well.
There is an occasional buck during steady crusing but if I get on it and take it up to about 5-6k RPM or so the occasional buck goes away for a bit. Figure the engine still needs to finish coming back to life.
The A/C cools much faster now. Dang. I notice that the engine fans kick on when ever the compressor kicks on. The B15 ECU kicked the engine fans on less frequently and it took longer to get coolness. Now it behaves much like my '96 Altima.
