Oil Squirters and pumps

As stated in the post "VE head on a DE block", Shoes59 stated the VE has squirters. Does this apply to all VEs'? If not can JWT tap the holes for them like a they can for the DE? Also Shoes said they have a high volume oil pump. Can this be used on a DE or DET, or is it the same pump on the DET? Sorry if this is has been discussed, I found only 1 topic w/the search. Thanks, Tim

I heard this is true but i also heard that the pickup needs to be modified if the N1 pump is going to be used on a USDE due to the N1's larger oil pan .vs DE's. Jwt said that the VE/N1 pump is direct for gti-r but all others the pickup has to be modded or it wont fit. please shed some light =)

whats so different about the N1 pump? Is it bigger than the GTi-R's? The biger the oil pump the better....this might be somthing to look into when i start to rebuild my broke motor next year

The N1 pump has 70% more volume over the stock DE pump.
It comes in a kit with new front cover, correct pulley and pump/pickup. This is what im looking into doing. I want to modify
the pickup to fit properly. Doing something like that is easy just very critical that its done CORRECTLY.
