That's very nice. Thanks for posting it. What was up with run number 8, was that with no cams activated?

I dont know where you have you VVL triggers set, looks like 4200 and 4800 RPM... I think you'd do better with a 4800 and a 5000

At 4200 you get a big drop in power when you switch cams, about 18 tq and 20hp, I'm surprised you dont feel it bogging down.

The two runs 6 and 8 cross at about 4900, so having them both trigger at that point or at like 4800 and 5200 would flatten out the torque curve and get rid of those awful dips.

run 8 was no cams activated, still ran pretty good.

thanks for trying to help out with the tuning, but thats why i made these runs. i think im doing just fine. my car never goes below 5300 when i race so it doesnt really matter what i do with the low cam.

Awesome numbers. Thats one flat hp curve. Its almost completely flat from 6500 to redline. And the torque curve is flat from 5k to 7k. Good Stuff. Btw, is this with the sr16ve cams? Also is this the same setup you use to run at the track? In otherwords did you run that 12.8 with 186whp?

Was this with the sr16cams? Looks like you had power all the way up the rev range so I am quessing Yes.

Just to discuss it a little. The sr16 cams are peaking on your car at around 7200 rpm. If you look at the old dyno chart that chris allen posted on his ve the peak is at around 6800 rpm. Both cars seem to make decent power past their peaks, to my eye they don't fall off as quick as the S3-S4 cams do. Maybe its just the way the dynocharts are formated on the page. Bigtoms sr20ve with the sr16 cams makes more power on the small cams then my admittedly stock de does right now. Both Chris and Tom cars had similiar setups (headers+exhaust+WAI and both made around 175 with the sr20ve cams (if you subtract the 12whp that Bigtom said the sr16 cams netted him). Shoes made about 187 or so on his stock VE but had the matched headers and the better CAI, Seems those two items are worth around 12 whp all on their own. Chris and Bigtoms car were dynoed on the same dyno, Shoe's was not.

damned good numbers if you ask me...
so thats close to 197 with CAI, properly matched header, sr16ve cams and exhaust.... =/- 3-5 hp for dyno differences....

crazy stuff
