VE Timing

Is the rule for VE engines the same as DE engines when it comes to timing?
17 degree BTDC? Or is it different?

Different, both ve motors have less then the de. In facoty tune.

I think the sr20ve is only like 5 degrees and the sr16ve is 10 don't quote me on that though. They don't mind the timing pumped into them though most users have set the sr20ve's up around the 10-12 degree mark i think.

I'm sure the SR20VE is the same as the DE at 15 degrees...

it all depends on what ecu your using. the calum ve ecu uses a lot more advance then the de ecu. to acheave the same amt of advance with a de ecu run around 17-20degrees base.
