VE Cam Switching Conditions by Nissan

Yeah I was wondering on how Nissan do the switching on the cams with the original VE ECU. Is it solely done on RPM or does the Throttle position come into it? I saw this about setting up a Greddy MSS and it made me wonder.

If someone can confirm if its solely done on RPM or RPM&TP it would be appreciated

Not sure how the ecu does it, but it would be better to use RPM and TPS signals as that way it would stop the cams popping on down shifts...

I set mine so that throttle position and engine load are taken into account. It helps maximise part throttle torque. I also stop VVL from activating when the engine is cold.

Did you build a comparator circuit and plug it into the TPS output, or some sort of mechanical switch?

He uses a Bikirom board and its SW can trigger based on multiple conditions.

Nissan ECU triggers on RPM only.
