sr20vet - how to make it stronger (500 hp)

I ve got a GTI-R and a sr20vet. sr20vet is stock. hks 2540.

How to strenthen sr20vet to make it a reliable at 8000 rews and 450-500 hp.

My plan is to place:
1) Eagle sr20det rods
2) ACL bearings

what else?

p.s. Sr20vet is in sr20ve/sr16ve branch or in turbo?

Get some SR16 cams or N1 cams if you can find them. They'll help with the breathing and the power output under boost.

these cams would work well for an n/a ve, but not for a turbo ve, they run to much overlap, that you just cant get rid of with cam gears, stock 2l ve cams work well and have been proven so

16ve cams have made over 600whp

carrillo rods
sleeved block
big turbo
8 injectors
standalone ems
GTIR bearings
Headwork (oversized valves)
Headstuds

a trunk full of trannies or a SpecV tranny

that should do it

my plan is to use sr20ve p11 cams. the overlap is enough for 500hp. n1 cams is too much.

the gti-r tranny is good only for the 400. the 500 is a problem.
the stock sr20det block is good for 500+
the crank too
the stock rods are only 400hp worth
what gasket to use? are the sr20vet pulleys are the same as for the det?

if it is a genuine vet....then the standard springs will be fine, just get some nice rods and pistons and maybe a ppg gearset or something for the tranny

Stock head, stock block, forged pistons around 8.5:1 compression, H beam rods, Nismo bearings, 600cc top feed injectors running 4 bar, stock headgasket and SR16 cams with around 18~23psi should get you the power your chasing depending on cam timing.
