ve oil pump "upgrade"

i didnt know where to post this to get the best response, so here it lies.
i am wrappin up my motor build. its kinda frankenstein. port and polished DE head, DET block, a bunch of other stuff including a VE oil pump from gregV.
here is my issue...............

i am having an issue with the ve oil pump.
im wondering if this is a common problem.
it installed fine for the most part. i remember when i installed it months ago, there were some fittament issues that i "worked" out. that concerning the oil pick up tube.
now going to bolt on the upper and lower oil pan, and the scraper tray,
the oil pick up tube is clearly an obstruction again.
do i need to "work" that issue out as well? it would seem so, unless this is a common problem that you have an easy fixture for.

i can maybe post pics if needed. i will have to snap em off though.
does it come down to i just have to "manipulate" it a bit. my understanding was it was a direct bolt on replacement????????????
the bolt pattern is slightly different from the original, so that is not an option.

ideas? i did search, but that returned nothing helpful.

I believe the DET pans are a different shape and pattern. Onyxeros had a GTiR bottom end on his VE setup. Maybe look at some of his threads. I remember actually he had to do some jiggering to make it all play nice.

originally i had to "jigger" a little to get it to bolt on clear of the rest of the internals. now seems i have to do the same for the pans to bolt up.

i will search for onyxeros. maybe my search words werent specific enough.

I pay good money for VE pumps haha. I really need one for my VE so if this doesn't work out let me know. My ve won't go back together without a pump.

in this pic you can see the bolt holes are off by a good half inch. i could probably manipulate thet ube to get the scraper underneath to fit, but then the PU tube hits the oil pan. WTF
this was suppose to be a direct bolt on fit.

well, seemd that there are some differences in pans and pu tubes.
seems there is a different pick up tube that needs to be used for a det block. this was not known knowledge at the time of ordering on either ends.
no problem, gregV is the man and is gonna help a brotha out!
