Where are the internals?

I am curious as to why there is no market for VE internals? The main thing I was looking for was pistons to raise the compression but Ijust don't see any companies that produce them. Is it because the VE already has a high compression? Or is it becase there is no reason to make them because there hasn't been a want for them until now? I'm just curious, trying to get some info for my VE buildup, and yes... I searched

Re: Where are the internals?

i am having a piston forging selected now. if there is interest in a few week i will offer a group buy on the pistons. they will be 11.3:1 compression and will likely be 87mm unless there is an outcry for 86mm. also they will need rods. i am working on exact rod length for conveinience/performance. would you all me intersted in a piston rod combo, price would be about $1200 trying to get the price down hopefully the group buy helps. these parts will be very light and very happy at high rpm. also thinking about only offering them with coating. the valve reliefs will allow for massive overlap. Rods will use larger gtir bearings or sr20de bearings.

Re: Where are the internals?

If you were to develop these I would purchase the piston/rod combo. But it would take more than just my interest to fund such a project. It may take me 3-4 months after I pay off all of my VE and parts to save up for this. So even if these were to come out in the next few months, I would not have money for them until about November/December

Re: Where are the internals?

I may also consider buying these before I VE my NX because I've got about 2k sitting in the bank for this engine, yeah, when this comes out, I'm a definate buyer right away

Re: Where are the internals?

amazingly enough these parts will work in a DE as well. when you have the head off mill it .010in and enjoy about 10.8:1 compression. i will keep you all posted it is taking just a short while to get them to make the rods prtoperly and select the right rings. still want to know if there is more interest in 86mm or 87mm. i reccomend 87mm for more than one reason. but 86mm is cheaper and easier to install in a weekend.
