DE ECU pinout question (for e-manage, no-brainer for some!)

Hey guys,

Just a quick question for you e-manage experts out there.

Is the B13 SR20DE ECU pinout diagram the same as diagram N-7 in the japanese e-manage manual (which is listed as the SR20DET and SR20VE pinout diagram)?? I have searched (for hours!) without getting the exact answer that can give me peace of mind.

Thanks in advance for your help guys. I would go the JWT plug and play option for my intended VE conversion, but I am 10,000+ miles away which makes it really hard! E-manage is a much easier option....I plan on running DE ECU, e-manage piggyback with ignition harness, and either greddy MSS or MSD RPM switches for the cam activation. Anyone see any other problems with this set-up at all?

Thanks guys, I need your help and appreciate any info you can offer.

Yes. You can use the VTEC function on the e-manage to control the cams, but it will do both at the same time. You might want to think about changing the crystal in the ecu to raise the redline.

Re: DE ECU pinout question (for e-manage, no-brainer for some!)

depending on the crystal, i have some that move the rev limiter from 7200 to 8600 but im using one that set it to 8000. (I'm not that crazy)

Re: DE ECU pinout question (for e-manage, no-brainer for some!)

My DE ECU rev limit is higher than 7500 rpm (I have not hit the rev limiter yet, so I am not sure where it lies exactly). Was the US rev limit for the DE's 7200?

I would think that my rev limit will be fine, it won't make much difference to me to have 200 or 300 more RPM's to play with (my car will be street only with perhaps the occassional drag strip run for fun on local club days).

Thanks for your input exxd, are you running e-manage now on your VE? I had noticed you mentioned you intended to run the e-manage in another thread. Would you mind sharing your e-manage maps with us???

Yes please give me some maps for the emanage. I have one at home

Did you require the injector harness with the emanage? or have you run the injectors off the ignition harness?

Re: DE ECU pinout question (for e-manage, no-brainer for some!)

the stock rev limiter shows 7500 on the tach. I am using the e-manage on the ve. I dont have any maps ready yet, I blew another tranny 600miles after having the VE running. I'm just getting around to fixing the tranny, had a problem getting the case on so I gotta figure out why. My maps will be tuned with modified crystal, which means that it wont run the same as it would on a stock b13 ecu. You dont need the injector harness to make it work, and I am running the injectors off the ignition harness.
