SR20VE in B14

anyone running this setup? i have looked through your forums and can only find guys with the G20's and NX cars. would really like to know about this swap because a buddy is selling his 95-98 (not sure of the model year) 200sx. i am a 240sx guy so i know very little of these cars, though i have always liked them. anyways any links would be great.

Re: SR20VE in B14

yeah i have been reading alot on the Sr20ve in this forum...i was surprised to see as many threads as there were...but my main question is that the wiring for the engine. if anyone has a link or a setup to tell that would be great. again i see alot of older Sentras, G20's and Nx's but little on the setups for the B14.

Re: SR20VE in B14

I'll be nice!!! Welcome to the SR20forum...

You will not receive any replies on your post if you don't read or SEARCH. There are info about B14 with VE and wiring on the FAQ.
I would recommend checking all the FAQ's first... then search... then post, especially that you are new to the forum.
You can find a wealth of information about the VE on the FAQ section. I'll even help you out... here's a link to the VE faq.

yes...my main concern was hooking up something for the cams...but i have been reading that there is the MSD with the pills but now there is also the Greddy unit. my other concern was with the emissions stuff. but since i have heard you can use SR20DE headers for the SR20VE then some of those connections can be used...ehhh

Re: SR20VE in B14

is the JWT ecu needed if you use the Greddy unit? if i do buy this car i will more than likely use that. but i want to ask a few more questions to the people using that setup.

if you look on the register you can see who swapped a ve in what car. Im one of those and i used nothing but the FAQ and "how to swap a ve in a b14" by 98sr20ve
very helpful... didnt get any help from anyone... just ask questions on this forum and got answered and got my motor started.

Re: SR20VE in B14

I'm using the MSD rpm modules and selectors for my cams. I'm guessing the JWT can be programmed for that also as they asked me what I was using for cam activation when I got mine.

i did not say everyone is on that list just an idea of what car swapped a ve in a b14 then you can pm some ppl on that register list to get your questioned answered... there is not to many ppl that know how to swap this motor in our cars because VE's are not common in the states... so it is real fortunate that there is this thread of this motor to help the one that want to feel the power of a ve in a b14,b13,and egg!
