My VE/B14 has went from heaven to hell, i have alot of problems

Well my swapped worked fine for a lil while, with mods such as, Jwt comp,sr16 cams, s-afc (maf not hooked up just throttle and rev) then one day i turn it on and it it is at 1500 regular when warming up then it goes to 500rpm bout to turn off, then i turn it off and turn it back on and it revs to 1500 then it goes back down and turns off, then i fight it to stay on on the other try and the car runs like sh*t, and my S-AFC is not consitently reading 100% throttle at 5.12 volts, i get mad..

So i check my afc connections and it still reads 100% 5.12 volts, disconect battery and then i hope it goes away, and it dose not.

i check all wires on tps and they all give me a 5.12 volt reading at all times.i think the tps took a sh*t.

Then i drive the car and most of the times i hit 8grand no problem, but sometimes it hesitates and i get fuel cut after 7 grand. (prob tps)

Now when i drive it and i downshift it is running completly too rich, instead of the old smooth VRRRRRRRRRRMMMMM while revs going back down its more liek VRRRRR VRRRRRROOOM VRRRROOOOM VRRRROOOOOM it dose not keep a solid sound it just keeps breaking up and throwing some quiet backfires u know like no solid downshift anymore the sound is all broken up.

on top of it the car seems like it has gotten a bit slower, also i found out some hose from my charcoal canister was not pluged into intake for vaccume and i made a custom hole on my ve black intake thing so it can go back into intake as it did stock,

the car/motor is giving me some crazy probs, please help

my boy said he got a tps for a de thats a 96 will this work? prob not, can anyone trade me, thanks guys

it is 4 am so i might add some in tomorrow lol

Re: My VE/B14 has went from heaven to hell, i have alot of problems

vaccum leak? or lack of vac lines? that's the #2 thing to check when your car has a rough idle and misfires. first thing to check is plugs.

i dunno, just trying to help.

Re: My VE/B14 has went from heaven to hell, i have alot of problems

Did you check the ECU for codes? Could be the knock sensor like the guy said, i was getting a knock sensor error and i had similar problems. The thing will retard your timing if it gets the wrong signal from the sensor right?

22620-31u01 TPS Sensor
I found a part number for SR20VE N1 motor.
you can try to cross reference it w/ the part number for the lowport TPS.
Im pretty sure it should work, thats all i could find for now.

You can use the same TPS that comes on the 5 speed B15 SR20DE cars and the newer G20s from 1999 and up

To get rid of the EGR Selenoid light get a EGR selenoid an plug it back into the harness and tape it onto the harness. The computer just needs to know it is there.
