complete N1 intake will be about $210 for bottom runners. $200 for top runners and about $240 for TB. Then you will have to get a gasket for the runners and you could always make your own gasket fot the TB.

Re: Any aftermarket intake manifolds for VE

I was thinking of getting a stock manifold and sending it to 02 to build me one like this.I had the n1 TB for a year and a half now.I think this will be better than n1

Re: Any aftermarket intake manifolds for VE

The problem is the runners are to small. You will need to operate the motor at 8700 RPMs and up to make any use of the runner. You will loose HP and never get to its efficency range. It has to be about the length of a N1 or a hair but shorter. Then you make velocity stacks and put in it like mine.

The problem with the low port head is that the runners come straight out and do not give enough space for a proper runner lenght. Thats why I used my intake manifold and shortened it a bit and then added horns and a plenum.

Re: Any aftermarket intake manifolds for VE

Please note that the pics of the manifold that you have listed has horns that sit flat on the plenum floor. If you make an intake manifold get horns that stick 1 inch plus of the plenum floor as they give way better air flow.

Re: Any aftermarket intake manifolds for VE

Got a quikk question, *** about using like a sheetmetal intake from an early 90s low port DE? I thought the only difference in head channels were the low port design vs. the new sr20 high port?

Re: Any aftermarket intake manifolds for VE

Nevermind, I know the difference between the headers now. The ports are closer on the VE in corellation to the studs.
