VE FAQ clarification

Regarding the part #s for the VE. After many part #s are listed the next sentance says "This is the same as the 2000-2001 SR20DE". So a VE headgasket is the same as a 2000 2001 sr20de??? If this is not correct I have to contact Courtesy Nissan right. Finally can someone give me there experiance or troubles finding basic parts for the VE.

Thanks NOOB

Re: VE FAQ clarification

we if it has the same part number then it is, but then if it does you can build a sr20de block (or t) and slap a ve head on it.

Re: VE FAQ clarification

The VE block is different. The de block does not have the Oil galley on the back of the block. you would have to block the passage and run external oil line if you use the de gasket.

Re: VE FAQ clarification

Ok I just want to know where I can get ve parts like the headgasket..ect. Is Courtesy Nissan is the only place where I can get ve parts? Finally can some ve guys give me examples or experiance with finding replacement parts. I want to be able to replace the small things or I might as well go turbo.

Please answer.
Thanks

Re: VE FAQ clarification

LOL, I guess we're not as good at explaining stuff as we thought. Well from *** I got from the faq Ive seen that no dealerships can get VE parts unless they have certain connections to JDM. I think we need to revise the faq *** I *** some gaskets and connectors are the same as DE parts with different part numbers. So Courtesy Nissan and sr20development have those kind of connections to get JDM parts, one of those two can get them for u unless some place closer to u has the connections, its up to u to find out.

Re: VE FAQ clarification

I'm working on getting some parts in through work as well (Infiniti of Scottsdale) mainly just stuff for my car, but I should be able to get anything you guys need in the future as well.

Jon would be the person to talk to right now, he's got connections =)

Also, try not getting pissed, people will be more inclined to help if you're not all pissed off cause your question isn't answered right away.
