Re: no exhaust

It really just depends on what exhaust setup you have. The Greddy SP is probably a tad more restrictive than some of the 2.5" setups out there, and those with a 2.5" setup still see a little bit of a gain, even with the larger piping. I'd expect you'd probably see a good deal of power from a test pipe and larger piping. Headers will cause this to vary a bit too, if you have a better header i'm sure it'll probalby make a bigger difference, as there won't be a restriction left once you drop the exhaust.

Basically if you have a stock exhaust it'll make a BIG difference, if you have an aftermarket DE exhaust (2.25-2.5" setup) it'll make a difference, if you have a large system already (3.0" for example) it won't make much difference.

If that makes sense....?

This kid I know has like a switch in his car (bmw m3) and he can flip his car to open headers--probably an electric mechanism of some sort. But, I have never seen his car in person.

Its an eletric cutout. Some turbo guys use those, I might end up using one too.
