Re: Greddy MSS 165 shipped

Out of curiosity, what are the benefits to having it come on only at WOT?

I'm thinking from a road course perspective I'd want it on all the time, that way the power's there even at part throttle, or if i have to slightly back off the throttle coming out of a turn, or whatever... and other similar situations of course.... Are you guys just looking at it at a street use and drag use perspective? Like it's either cruising around town or WOT blasts down the dragstrip?

Justin,
I think that you can set the MSS fto trigger cams for RPM's also. I think whitelightening has it only hook up with the TPS signal as of now. He is still trying to figure it out. I *believe* that the MSS gives you multiple parameters for cam switch such as TPS signal and RPM signal and *maybe* oil pressure but not sure. Also adds some bling factor with the convenience of setting the parameters from inside the cabin.

Also, dont be so quick to comment Justin. He might ask you to GET OFF HIS NUTS!!!

Re: Greddy MSS 165 shipped

Yeah, I know about the multiple parameters, but I'm just curious why you'd want it to switch at WOT and above a certain rpm, and not just above a specific RPM regardless of throttle position.

I have an MSS on the way through work actually... so I'll get to check it out in relation to my Summit boxes.. and if it's REALLY cool I'll sell my summit boxes and harness complete. If it's not all that an a bag of chips, It'll go up for sale.

Re: Greddy MSS 165 shipped

well if i am just cruising on the highway or something i dont want the cams on are if i take my foot off the gas above 5000 they shut off rather than stay on until below the 5000 point.i guess its all on how you want to set it up.yes with the mss you can set it to rpm, tps, speed, psi there are a buch of parameters.i thought about selling it for the msd switches but now that i got it figured out no way.
