If you still need coilovers then why not buy new shocks from Ksport for the rears? They are less than $200 each, and you are done.
BTW, I have a B14 race car, and have been using Megans and for the most part been happy. I upped the rear spring rate some to help the car turn and it's been working pretty well. Ksports are almost identical to Megans so I would expect that might help yours too.
The only issue I had was the shocks in the front seem to loosen in the front if I don't put a little lock-tite on the threads of the shock and jam nut.
Also, upping spring preload isn't the way to adjust these shocks. As a matter of fact, it's a bad thing. Get heaver springs if you need more spring rate.
