Yes they are user rebuildable. I would post some pics, but my Canon digital just gave me the infamous "E18" error.

Your PM is full, so here is my response.

I would imagine they would work very well for what you want. For rally-x you would want to dial them full soft, this would help to keep the wheels on the ground at slow speeds and give you maximum wheel travel (little secret: disconnect your front swaybar, you won't believe how well the car handles in the dirt with no front swaybar).

For the track, dial em up, probably use stiffer springs if you want.
