Luke, you don't need it but I'd suggest buying one of their coils too - the 8607 - I think that's the number - is the least expensive; it's been doing fine, and the car sounded quite different when I switched. I used a Digital 6+ but that shouldn't make a lot of difference (that was one of those "Dre said, "use this one", "yessir.")
:-)
Here's where I put it, with one of Serb's ittybitty batteries.

Yeah, I was thinking about the blaster coil. I was going to opt for the Digital 6+ as well, I want the 2-step feature. Have you had a chance to play with it? Shooting flames is pretty ricer, but it can put a smile on ones face. Your VE with a 3" exhaust and a test pipe would probably sound gunshots down Main Street.

Haven't played with the drag race and NOx features of the d6+ at all - I do fantasize a bit sometimes about taking advantage of the laughing gas gofaster option. The main reason I chose the d6+, as i said, was because Dre convinced me it's a more advanced piece than the others, and no matter what, I needed a rev limiter given JWT pulls it out of the ecu's it does for him (which I used).
With the 3" even WITH the cat, resonator and 5x7 I rattle glasses in people's cupboards NOW - - :-) - I make my short run for work about 6:20a - I fear one of these days that poor guy in the house next to the stop sign onto the main drag is going to be waiting for me with his shotgun - - -

digital 6 plus. hooked up as per jwt instructions. no spark on my 99 sel. I ground that tab down and soldered a wire on, now I just ran that wire to the coil negative to get the car started again. any suggestions. I get a red light on the msd box, but no spark.

I know this is old but between the coil and transister is where you want to tap, You get both switched 12V and trigger for igntion.
