not so. I had to pay $115 for the 93 auto sensor, it is different than the manual ones for the SR20. Of course nobody here had an auto speed sensor for sale, the manual ones are fairly easy to come by.

Since this hasn't been covered yet...if you have a 91-92 water temp sensor, you need to get a 93-94 water temp sensor so that the digital cluster can read the temp correctly.

For those with B15/P11 trannies....you need the corresponding speed sensor. You can't use the 1.6 speed sensor; it doesn't fit.

That is my guess. My buddy and I tried for about 30 mins. to try and get that sensor to go in my P11 tranny; we even tried on his P11 tranny, too. I put the sensor I had in the tranny originally and it went in like butter.

Does the lead from the speed sensor go directly to the back of the digital dash? Or do they go through the ECU? SOmeone told me they go through the ECU, and looking at old threads, It seems that way. But you guys say otherwise.

It very well possibly could that would explain why my friends speedo doesnt work, we thought we had the wrong speed sensor...His car is undergoing some work so we just never tested it. Ill check into that, the FSM said otherwise if I read it right but ill check it out

After looking at the FSM you do not have to run the wires through the ECU.

Since I have a 92 NX2000, and that is set up for the speedo cable, then would I need a new ECU, from a 93-94 that had the digital speed sensor?

Just follow the write up on the 93-94 analog to digital conversion, other that I havent seem to be able to find out what the situation is with the dimmer switch, since there is one already on the digital cluster, you can either keep your original one and have two dimmers or you can turn your original dimmer switch all the way up to full illumination, keep it plugged in, tape the dial on the dimmer switch up so it doesnt move and just tuck it somewhere behind the dash. That seems like the easiest solution.

No, you can use your stock ECU it after re tracing the wires on the ECU schematic, some how I mis traced them and the wires do not have to go through the ECU. The colors of wires how do change in color somewhere along the lines the changes are as follows:

Speed Sensor..............To Cluster
Blue...............................Green
Blue\Orange Stripe............. Red

As I know, on my 100NX GTi @1992 (like NX2000, but european):
- Speedo cable connected to cluster
- ECU speed input connected TO CLUSTER to read speed values
So my analog cluster contains some kind of SPEED SENSOR in addition to mechanical speedo, right?

And if I want to go digital and connect a digital cluster via speed sensor, does my ECU were able to read speed values correctly?

Yes your analog cluster does contain some type of speed sensor thus the reason for just a rotating cable. You should not however have to mess with anything on the ECU for the digital conversion.

Speedo sensor is on the tranny. Don't pull on the cable, it will break, either unscrew it from the tranny, or reach up under the dash and unplug it.
