The two yellow ones are air bag wires so if you dont have air bags dont worry about them.

The green and the red wire go to the speed sensor, I assume you are doing this on your 92 NX2000, so what you need to do is run the wires through the fire to the speed sensor, if you have the speed sensor wire harness you will notice there are no green or red wires on it the connection goes as follows:

Speed Sensor..............To Cluster
Blue...............................Green
Blue\Orange Stripe............. Red

Those speed sensor wires are at the ECU, no need to run the all the way to the tranny.

so I look for the blue and blue/orange stripe one on the ECU and just splice them there? Also I pulled the speed pinion out of a 92 NX1600 will this work in my tranny and give me the right readings?

so I'm having trouble again.

I started the install today. And I looked at my speed sensor and it has a green and black wire, not blue and blue/orange.

second, the only thing that works is the illumination control and the brights when it is by itself. However when I plug in the analog cluster and the digital in at the same time, then all the lights work how they are suppose to. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Wrong sensor, possibly, what vehicle did you get this out of?

Thats odd, check your wiring, the analog cluster is completing a circuit that the digital is not. So evidentally, a wire is wrong or off somewhere.

digital cluster help

i've managed to get hold of a set of digital clocks for my nx the only problem is there are an import set and only displays kmh and dont have the switch to set between kmh and mph!
if anybody can help i really need to know what the switch does to the circuit board ie. links out which set of the 6 pins on the switch or just changes the resistance
hopefully i will just be able to recreate the effect across the points where the switch should be on my circuit board so it reads in mph all the time
many thanks

Take the screws out of the frame, it should lift off, then there's 4 layers of plastic and under that all the circuitry. I didn't know there was a clock til I got that far! Once in, you should find a SW1 soldering point on the board next to the illumination knob. That's where the km/h/MPH switch should go. From there I would think it's simply a case of soldering in a link. You'll need to undo the screws in the back of the case to get the main board out.

You might also want to give all the layers of plastic a quick clean while you've got them off :-)

This is the most confusing thing ive ever done..... but i love it, all of this babbling about wire colors, i have a slight problem. first off, theres a plug on my digital cluster with 2 wires, a green/whitestripe and a red what are these? second question, my speedo sensor has 2 green wires and a blue pinion gear? whats the deal with that?

So here's a question... I got my cluster from an Auto NX1600. I have a B13 Sentra 5-speed, 1992. So, will any auto speed sensor from a tranny stuck to a GA motor work?

Thanks!
