Also just for anyone that wants to know I have had all 3 sets of cams.
S3s are great cams. They are awesome for a mild daily driver.
S4s are great cams. They work great in turbo cars and great in N/A cars.
No springs and retainers needed. And they are the best bolt-on for the SR20 motor.
S5s are JUNK. Dont buy them they break the factry springs. I wouldnt take a free set.
did i read that correctly that cams are bolt-on and go for all cams or just the S'types?

S3 & S4 are "drop-in" cams.. you don't need to upgrade springs and retainers.

S5 cams aren't worth buying.

Get S4 cams if you want some cams.

from what everyone says, N1 cams are great in an SR20VE, what are you power goals??

going through the work of boring to 87mm, why not just bore out a little more to 92mm and throw some sleeves in?

you'd have a 2.3L motor, with the N1 cams you'd be looking at 225 hp to the wheels (or so).. if you really have the money to do this, and are serious, talk to Andreas Miko, he's in south florida and can really put you in the right direction.

they are the easiest to find, and the "S4" cams are the best.. Brian Crower Stage 2 cams are very similar in lift/duration.. but not as common to find..... but if you DO find the, they are cheaper...

BC2 and JWT S4 are about the same.. have at it.. great cams...

I think it's as simple as JWT selling more brand new, and I'm referring to the used market...
you an get BC2's new for the price of used JWT S4's...

- BC2's are not hard to find. Price range $225-$250 depending on mileage.

Per JWT recommendation C1 is the way to go for a SR20DET if it's going to be a daily car.

I just sold my S4 and I'm going through the process of installing the C1 right now.
