The easiest way to tell the exhaust cam from the intake cam is to look at the end opposite where the cam gear gets bolted up. The exhaust cam will have a notch cut in the end of it so it can turn the distributer. The intake cam will not.
WTF? All this arguing even after having posted pics in the first post? Wow. The pics make the description the EASIEST way to tell! And then newbies call my post out to be wrong? B13Sentra2DR, you're lucky I'm not allowed to be a search nazi no more.
Anyhow, I'm letting this issue go, but I will say this to newbies: don't call out till you can literally bet your ass that you're right. It helps save face.

I don't know about this top end of 130MPH.
I've owned two classics, one 93 and one 94.
Both did 140MPH stock.
This is looking at the speedometer by the way, which may be some what inaccurate.
You need a long stretch to get from 135 to 140 though.
Here's something new for your whole lowport vs. highport arguement:
What about my 02 G20 Sport lowport roller rocker?
It produces 145HP at the crank.
Hi guys, whats up i have a question maybe someone could help, i recently changed my engine into a most recente one 95, but the engine came from japan, sr20, so the engine its about the same i just changed, im asking because my car came from us, and the regulation for gas emisions are more restricted???

I am now looking for the Highport intake cam for my new baby (98 200 SX SE-R) however, How can I know I will get the right one and not the same one I currently have??? I'm really into getting these extra 7 hps
There is also a rumor goin around that if u swap out the highport sr20 intake cam for the highport sr18 intake cam you're suppost to gain some horsepower, does anyone have any info on how tru this is and if it is how much hp will be gained ?
By simply changing the intake cam shuold'nt throw a code unless u leave sumthing disconnected or damage something in the process, but i think that was discussed somewhere earlier in the topic. The only thing i'm questioning is the difference between the intake cam on the highport SR18 and SR20 is the lift and duration the same or does the SR18 have a more radical lift/duration as compared to the SR20 intake cam.
Somebody i need a little help on this topic please, i understand the part about swapping out the low port intake cam for the high port intake cam, but what about the difference(if there is one) between the hight port sr18 and high port sr20 intake cams ?

If you have the cam profile for the SR18DE and compare it to the high port SR20DE, you'll know if it will provide more power or not. Without that information, no one can help you.
